Lisa Paxman has been a whimsical artist her entire life. Working with ceramics, clay and paint, she uses different medium to express her amazing creativity. Known as Pax to her close friends, she has worked in the nonprofit sector, teaching art to children from immigrant families, as well as volunteering her time at her children’s school to teach art for elementary age children.
Pax’s passions besides her art are making her friends and family laugh, going kayaking on any beautiful lake and her love of her dogs which even led to a career in dog grooming.
Pax’s charisma is noted in her art, as is her whimsy.

As usual, we want to know "What does Generosity mean to you?"
Pax: "Generosity to me is always about giving. I look back now that I'm older and have found myself always drawn to giving. Giving my time, my skills, my ear, my strength, my knowledge and just giving it freely. All the jobs I've had have reflected that."

There is a saying from Simone de Beauvoir that read's "That's what I consider true generosity: You give your all, and yet you always feel as if it costs you nothing." I truly feel that is what you are encompassing with how you personally show generosity and it's honestly beautiful to witness.

"Was there a time that you can recall, where a moment of Generosity truly impacted you?"
Pax: "One generous thing that happened in my life is after making the choice to raise my nephew and niece, I got to relive my childhood and it taught me so many things. I got more from them I think then I gave. Love, joy, laughter, family.... so many things."

Our motto here at Generous-City is "#GenerosityStartsWithMe". It is because we wholeheartedly believe that an act of generosity has the potential to spread like wildfire if only one person is kind enough, brave enough, selfless enough to spark the flame. So when we hear that you set out and did something generous and ended up being the one who felt you were given a blessing because of it, fully knowing that was not your intention, it completely substantiates the message we were trying to get across.

Pax does not have a website to sell art however, has created custom pieces that were commissioned which can be requested via email @ wetwaterglider@gmail.com.
You can also follow Pax on social media @ Paxwaterglider.
Pax, thank you for sharing your creations with us, for opening yourself up to share your adventures and experiences with us, and for creating a such an atmosphere of benevolence in all you do!
